My Story

Faced with one of the greatest challenges of my life, I never gave up and worked hard to get back to normal. It wasn’t easy, but I am proud of my resilience and ability to overcome anything.

On June 5, 2018, my birthday, I faced the greatest challenge of my life. I suffered a brain aneurysm and temporarily passed away. Thankfully, I survived. I was placed into a medically induced coma for a short period so my brain’s swelling could reduce. After I woke up, there were a few days that I still can’t remember to this day. My family told me I couldn’t even recognize them. Fortunately, my memory gradually became better over the course of several days.

Recovery took several months, but I was determined to get back to work and help my real estate clients. When I returned home from the hospital, I started working as soon as I feasibly could. For a while, I had a driver who took me to meet with clients or view homes. The most frustrating part about my recovery was my memory. There were small things I couldn’t remember throughout the day, so I started writing them down. My doctor was quick to tell me that was exactly what I shouldn’t do. I had to regain those fundamental memory skills with time and patience.

Five years have passed since then, and I am grateful that I have been able to return my memory almost completely back to normal. It is a true miracle. I believe the experiences throughout my life have strengthened me and given me the right mindset to overcome difficulties like this. Since high school, I have never worked for anyone else. I’ve always been a self-starter and entrepreneur. I enjoy solving problems and helping people.

For several years, I ran a successful roofing company. I put a lot of effort into that business, but when you are an entrepreneur, inspiration can strike at any moment. The company was doing so well that I finally decided to buy a home. I was impressed by the Real Estate Broker I worked with. It immediately inspired me to get into real estate too. When I’m motivated to do something, I’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.

In 2004, I received my Real Estate Broker license and got to work. From the very beginning, I loved working with clients and building relationships throughout the transaction process. Learning how to build a business from the ground up has taught me many lessons that translate to all areas of my life. My hard work, dedication and commitment to doing the right thing has not only helped me, but the people in my life as well.

As I expanded my client base, some of my clients started asking for help with improvements around their homes. It gave me the idea to turn my roofing company into a construction company in order to offer even more resources to my clients. During the market crash, those two businesses kept me afloat. My career paths may not be traditional, but they have provided me with a fulfilling life that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Eventually, I sold the construction company and have exclusively worked as a Real Estate Broker ever since. Real estate is what I was most passionate about.

It is amazing to have a career where every day is different, and I am always finding new ways to help people.

With everything I have been through, I am grateful every day for the life I have created for myself, and for the people who have supported me through every setback I have faced. I have overcome a lot in life. It reminds me that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three sons, Gianni Demarco, Brayden and Gavin.

One of the first things I noticed when I started working in real estate was that people simply don’t know their options. It became an important part of my job to educate people and show them how investing in real estate can change their lives. For several years, I gave lectures at the University of Washington to teach students and their parents how they can invest in real estate to create another stream of income and avoid student housing costs. I have seen first-hand the difference this has made for many families. Educating my community is one of my greatest motivations as a Real Estate Broker.

Along with educating my clients, I also work hard to make the entire experience stress-free. I coordinate every step of the process to ensure nothing is overlooked and that every decision aligns with your goals. My clients are very important to me. I always offer my honest, professional opinion and guidance to ensure you are happy and informed. Even after the transaction is over, I will continue to support you as your Real Estate Broker for life.
